I decided to revive a post from a while ago, and use it to come u with a definitive guild structure.
This is our history and how we started out. I want to point out that there were good ideas in there and we should use them all.

As I said I am planning something for the Alliance - a new guild.
I would like to say that I am going to put my energy into this project and an agressive recruitment / activity will be pursued.
The project will be outlined here under the following headings: Structure, Background, Goals, Policies and Guild Philosophy.
Guild Name: Not Decided yet.
Wanted Size: Large, as large as possible.
STRUCTURE

[3] Leadership: As the actual aim is to have a very large guild, the leadership will not belong to 1 person. The full leadership would belong to the Council of "Ten."
So what is the "Ten?"
The Ten is a force of High Judgement. Ten riders, ten judges, ten philosophers, and ten leaders. Each one unique, each one powerful in his own ways, each one brave and strong. To be a member of the "Ten" you must display powerful leadership qualities, good military skills, dedication to Light and Justice, and of course you must have the support of the Army. The Council of Ten shall meet once per week in its full where all the important issues would be brought up.
In its breakdown - the Council of Ten must have representatives of all classes. It doesn't matter which class has more members in the Ten, but a minimum of 1 class in the "Ten" must be kept at all times.
The Ten: Grand Inquisitor, General, Archmage, High Priest, Supreme Judge, Intelligence Commissioner, Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Internal Affairs, Argent Dawn Ambassador, High Druid.
[4] Basic Structure: What shall come after the "Ten?" Well, it is a good question and it is time to explain the answer to it. The rest will be broken down into the following categories (don't forget the aim is to have a large guild and have a fair and even structure): Captains, Lieutenants, Knights, and Recruits.
Well, the structure is oriented at a very large guild as you see. As we all understand it will be very tough to start out with large numbers - i am hoping to start of with a few dozen active players and pursue a very active recruitment campaign. The Basic Principle is to have the "Ten" built and well prepared.
A side-note: If a guild would become interested in a merge before the "Ten" is assembled, the leader of the guild that merges with us will get a membership spot in the "Ten." Other ranks will be distributed accordingly and with full fairness and respect. Trust will be a major principle in building this guild.
BACKGROUND
The background of the guild and the history will revolve around the RP of our members and around the official policies / philosophy / and actions of the Guild.
The Guild's background can be outlined in the following manner:
* The Alliance has been in need of a strong Judicial Force, that would protect the poor, the weak, help them, punish criminals, fight corruption and disease, and push against the forces of the Scourge, Hakkar, and Ahn Qiraj. This is where the "Ten" and the Guild come in.
* Sworn to protect the Alliance lands, the people, and always follow the ways of the Light - the "Ten" and Co. shall fight the Defilers, the undead, the usurpers like the Warsong and the Frostwolf Clans, etc.
* The Destruction of Evil shall become a central principle, and the pursuit of Justice shall be crucial.
* Light shall be embraced not as a rulebook, but as a way of life and philosophy.
* The Guild shall base itself in Stormwind, and in all major outposts of the Alliance lands.
GOALS
The Goals shall be outlined in the following manner:
[1] It is a RP guild, but the pve and the pvp aspects shall not be avoided at any time.
[2] The Aim is to be a supreme RP guild and be able to balance the pve and the pvp.
[3] It is undeniable that we will aim to do Molten Core, Zul Gurub, Blackwing Lair, and other instances like AQ.
[4] World PvP at its best. Don't forget I am a big fan of world pvp and I will make sure so that we have it.
[5] All Aspects of the game for all!
POLICIES AND GUILD PHILOSOPHY
[1] An absolute NO to Corpse Camping.
[2] Ninja Looting punished with expulsion.
[3] OOC in /s or in /y or in other inappropriate areas of the game will be punished with a strike.
[4] 3 Strikes will result in an expulsion.
[5] RP and IC must be always on priority.
[6] Respect all, trust and help your fellow guildmates.
[7] Meeting of the Council of Ten every week, An official all guild RP event per week, and weekly PvE/PvP raids. Smaller scales RP events will be organized every 3 days.
[8] By being a member of the Ten, a person accepts full responsibility for the guild and the its future. All members of the Ten and all guild members shall never behave in a way that would discredit the guild.
[9] Keep destructive RP away, give us constructive RP.
[10] A looting system that will be discussed, adjusted, and voted on to suit all the members. We will make sure to suit all types of players.
